Stříbro a jeho minerály
Naprostá většina minerálů stříbra patří mezi sulfidy, arsenidy, selenidy a telluridy 2. třídy Strunzova mineralogického systému, pouze několik málo minerálů (např. bromargyrit, chlorargyrit, iltisit) se řadí mezi halidy do 3. třídy nebo mezi prvky do 1. třídy (eugenit, luanheit). Minerálů dalších tříd vytváří stříbro pouze několik, např. argentojarosit se řadí mezi sulfáty 7. třídy, tilmansit patří mezi vanadáty 8. třídy.
